- How has the MA TEFL program impacted your career? Key takeaways from the MA TEFL program. (Limit your response to 70 words)
My teaching career started before applying to the MA TEFL and TEFL was not my first choice back in 2010 when I applied to AUA. Now thinking back I believe good luck and destiny took me to TEFL. The program helped me develop my knowledge and skills which led to the improvement of my teaching and learning practice. The variety of courses and faculty of really bright professionals opened up a new “teaching and learning world” for me. Invaluable is the impact that TEFL has on my career especially in terms of educational research methods which I have made use of since day one in my career.
- List 2-3 most important tips to potential MA TEFL applicants and/or MA TEFL students
Never miss a chance to TALK to the faculty- it’s learning beyond learning.
Be hardworking, read a lot and love what you are doing.
Be open to new experiences
